Eight is not enough

By Staff Writer

The Yankees had won seven games in a row and were looking for the moose to deliver number eight. Unfortunately Cincinnati pitcher Volquez held down the Yanks as he picked up his tenth victory. The scrappy Reds lead by young star shortstop. The result was a 4-2 victory by the young little red machine.

Key play in the game was the misplay ball by Johnny Damon when he lost the ball in the lights. That opened the flood gates, and aided in the Yankees losing the game.

One bright moment in today's game was when Johnny, Derek, and Arod all extended there hitting streaks. Both Alex and Johnny are in the top five in hitting.

Another bright moment tonight came in the Cardinals as game they beat the Sox at bean town, on night that they honor the Celts.

Quote of the Year!

"'Red Sox Nation?' What a bunch of  !?@* s#!* that is. That was a creation of the Red Sox and ESPN, which is filled with Red Sox fans.

"Go anywhere in America and you won't see Red Sox hats and jackets, you'll see Yankee hats and jackets. This is a Yankee country. We're going to put the Yankees back on top and restore the universe to order."
