This Schilling is HOF bound!
By Frankye Solares.
I want everyone to Listen Man!
I wish Curt well as he departs with season ending surgery. He will only be 42 by the end of the year. People should not be too quick to dismiss him, and expect him to retire. Have everyone forgotten that several pitchers have pitched well into the golden years? He might not be burning up the radar gun, but Curt has several years left in his arm. He can still spot his pitches and get outs, and if the Sox throw him away like yesterdays chowder. Schilling will find a home elsewhere, and teams will still be knocking on his door.
All that said. Many experts have chimed in on his so called departure of the game. In our humble and correct opinion the experts are wrong.
Curt Schilling is many things, he is opinionated, a philanthropist and regardless what you read on newspapers or the world wide leader of crap, he is respected in the baseball community.
They can be critical about his politics or even his blog. But…..When I here that some quote on quote experts have cast a doubt on the Bronx bombers archenemy, it makes me sad.
Schilling might not be the best pitcher of his generation when it comes to the regular season. His regular season record will not go down as one of the best in history, and he will never be accused of having a god’s body. (No performance enhancing in his pitching) No whispers or alleged comments on this veracity of his resume.
SEASON

Yet his postseason record is dare I say. Amazing! He took two teams to the World Series, and won three titles.
His postseason record will go down as one of the best in history.
W L ERA CG SO

Without him as our opponent, Derek Jeter would have six rings, and the Sox would still be cursed.
If his career if truly over he will not only be in the Hall, he is a lock stock and barrel first ballot. Five years from now he might be the only pitcher selected to the hall. Thanks for the memories Curt we will miss you.
