Moose the All Star!
By Mike S
Mike Mussina won his 11th victory today, as he helped the Yankees finally get off the floor. Moose held the Redsox to zero runs and four hits while pitching six strong innings.
Manager Girardi indicated that Mike should be headed to the All Star game, since he is on top of the leader board in Victories.
Joe added. "We really needed this from Mike and Mike really stepped up for us... like he's done all year"
You can make the argument that Mussina has been the best and most consistent pitcher the Yankees have this season.
After starting the year getting destroyed by Ramirez, Moose has bounced back in a big way.
At 11-6 he could easily have 14 victories. With possibly 15 more starts this year the Yankees are very happy to have Mussina anchoring the Rotation.
