Jorge's year over!
Despite that Yanks need Pitching, Not another catcher.
July 22, 2008
By
Ron "Six Ten" & Frank Solares
In the off-season the Yankees resigned Catcher Jorge Posada to a four year deal. Brian Cashman knows that Jorge is very key to the Yanks future. He is one of the best catchers in baseball, and one of the Yanks MVP's.
His replacements this year have played well and both Chad and Bengie even though they love starting they know that Jorge needs to be the catcher if the Yankees want to succeed and win number 27.
Our fans demand
the best from the Yankee brass. In recent years the Catcher position has been a
focal point of the Yanks Minor League system. The future might not be that far
away. The Charleston River Dogs the Yanks Class A club have a Catcher by the
name of Jesus Montero. This young 19 year old Catcher from Venezuela is 6"4 225
pounds of raw talent. In 93 games he has belted 9 homeruns 57 rbi slugging .507
and o yeah just batting .311.
Fools Gold
Mr. Cashman please do not be fooled with the pitching staff that is currently assembled. Sir Sydney will not be the answer the second half of the year. In his last 3 starts he has allowed 11runs 3 homeruns 23 hits, on 7 bb. The run support has been there for him, will that continue?
Rasner in last 3 starts he has also allowed 11 runs, 26 hits, 2 homeruns, on 4 bb.
Bring up Chase Wright or Alfredo Aceves both of them are pitching well.
